New Seminar guidelines
as proposed in Standing Rule changes, Article 8:
8. Seminars shall be open to all Chapter members on the first
day of the month twelve months in advance of a seminar, i.e., if
the seminar is scheduled for July, registration would not be
accepted any earlier than July 1 of the previous year. If
registration deposits are received by mail on the same day and
exceed the number of spaces available, the Board will devise a
method by random drawing for selection of those to be
registered. No space shall be reserved before receipt of payment
of fifty percent (50%) of the total amount due for each day
requested. The balance due must be pad sixty (60) days before
the seminar date. Any space one hundred twenty days (120) prior
to the seminar shall be open to other Society members. No
seminar moneys will be refunded unless the space is filled from
the waiting list by the seminar chairperson. Seminar space is
not transferable if there is a waiting list. If no waiting list,
a transfer must be approved by the seminar chairperson. Under
special circumstances, a refund may be granted with the approval
of the Board of Directors.
a. To reserve a space on the waiting list for a seminar, a
separate check for the full class fee for each class day
requested is required. The check will be returned after the
seminar date if the day requested does not become available.
b. Members may provide their own seminar surfaces with the
approval of the seminar teacher and seminar coordinator.
c. Refunds will be by check in the event a seminar is cancelled
by the Chapter or the seminar teacher. No transfers will be
issued. No refund of seminar fees can be transferred to another
seminar.
d. Supplies donated by seminar teachers to complete projects
will be available through the library to registered seminar
participants for six (6) months. After six (6) months materials
will be available to all Chapter members. Supplies to complete
seminar projects will be dispersed by seminar chairman in the
manner required by the supplier. |
